The Algiers Metro is a rapid transit system serving the city of Algiers, the capital of Algeria. It is the second metro system in Africa after the Cairo Metro. Extension of Line 1: Plans are in place to extend Line 1 further south to Aïn Naâdja.
New Lines: Future lines are being considered to create a more comprehensive network. These include Line 2 (Bab Ezzouar to Chevalley) and Line 3 (Bir Mourad Raïs to Dely Ibrahim).
